Los olvidados (The young and the Damned) is a Mexican film filmed from February 6 to March 9, 1950 in Tepeyac Studios and in locations of D. F., released on November 9 of the same year in the movie Mexico.
Written and directed by Luis Buñuel, who won the prize for best director at the Cannes Film Festival and has been named Memory of the World by Unesco.
The forgotten ones tell a tragic and realistic story about the lives of some children in a marginal neighborhood of Mexico City.
This film is the most relevant work since Buñuel began his Mexican stage.
