In digital interview from Stockholm, Torbjörn Björlund, Swedish member of parliament and chairman of the Committee in Defense Legacy Pablo Neruda, he speaks of political and diplomatic efforts to recover the last will of the Chilean Nobel: "We want the testamentary desire Pablo Neruda is met, and heritage belongs to the people of Chile. From a distance we follow the struggle of the people of Chile; we have a special interest in Neruda's last will and struggle for a true democracy in Chile. We are constantly monitoring the processes around the will of Pablo Neruda, in his manifest desire belongs to the people of Chile. "

MC .- The Association of Labor Studies of Sweden inaugurated the exhibition of Neruda Library of the University of Chile in 1966, and all is known that Neruda received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971, Pablo Neruda What does history Swedish culture?

TB .- Pablo Neruda has exerted a great influence on the cultural history of Sweden. Of course, what it is most notable in relation to the Nobel Prize for Literature, and of course, in relation to the events of the coup in Chile. His opposition to the dictatorships was well known, and could in life, have become a powerful  symbol against the dictatorship. His literary works have been widespread in Sweden. Today Neruda is not the same today. However, the generations that live the time of the coup we have in memory. Over the years his work still shows the great love of Neruda to his people and humanity.

MC.- Allan Petterson MC composed the Symphony No. 12, based on a translation of Arthur Lundqvist Canto General. Have you ever counselor talk with both characters of Swedish culture?, The symphony has been reissued for young people to hear it?

TB .- Unfortunately I never had the chance to meet these great personalities of Swedish culture. I can only regret the fact that he was so young at the time when these two giants of the culture of our country died. I know it has not been made an issue of Symphony No. 12 Allan Petterson, and it is unfortunate. It is hoped that in the future a director dares to do so. I think that would appeal to the younger generation.

MC .- Why several Swedish parliamentarians formed the Committee in defense of Neruda's legacy?

TB .- First because we want the testamentary desire is met Pablo Neruda and his heritage, as he wanted the poet belongs to the people of Chile. From a distance we follow the struggle of the people of Chile; we have a special interest in Neruda's last will and in the struggle for genuine democracy in Chile.

MC .- What initiatives carried out in the Committee?

TB .-'ve written request, to various authorities, in order to make a full review of the legacy of Pablo Neruda. We asked: Are private interests or the people of Chile heirs? We are constantly monitoring the processes around the will of Pablo Neruda in his manifest desire belongs to the people of Chile. We also do outreach work in order that many more are integrated into this effort to preserve both memory and the legacy of Pablo Neruda.

CM .- Was there any response from the government of Chile to the Committee's request in defense of Neruda's legacy?

TB .- No, there has been no response, it's not something we've seen. And, it is somewhat surprising, even though the government is right and neoliberal, have in no way attempted to consult with us to see the situation and work positively. The question is: Would they be interested in resolving the issue of right of the people of Chile with respect to desire Pablo Neruda?

MC .- To commemorate the Nobel received Neruda, Salvador Allende's government issued the "People's Anthology 1972" Would you be interested in collecting the poems translated into Swedish and the prologue of Salvador Allende to disseminate the project of the People Anthology 1972 ?

TB.- !, Of course it would be very important to publish the People Anthology 1972 in Sweden and, I think, draw attention to the judicial process open about the death of Pablo Neruda also recover a piece of the cultural history of mankind.

MC .- Pablo Neruda appointed to universities, trade unions and the Writers as executors of their copyright, but has not fulfilled the last will of the poet. Does the Swedish Committee could extend its application to study not only the case of the People Anthology 1972, but the failure of the Cantalao Foundation?

TB .- If we could do. We think it's inexcusable that has not protected the testamentary desire to Pablo Neruda. We think that the institutions named firm, and they were called to rescue the desire of Pablo Neruda, have failed in probate mission of the poet.

MC .- The Swedish ambassador Harald Edelstam accompanied Pablo Neruda in the Santa Maria Clinic and attended the funeral of the poet, remember the statements Ambassador Edelstam about Neruda's death and the crimes of the dictatorship?

TB .- Yes, we remember the facts. The latest generations do not have an updated view of those tragic events, however a couple of years it became a movie in this violent history is recounted, this information is a matter of generations; the film to inform that part of the story got other generations were reported at that time. Neruda and Edelstam were, from the film, known to the present generation. There is now in Sweden one Edelstam Foundation has no profit.

MC .- From denouncing Manuel Araya -the driver Neruda - a judicial investigation was opened to clarify the poet's death, did you receive news in Sweden about the alleged murder of Pablo Neruda? , What do you think?

TB.- Yes, the news reached rather quickly Sweden unfortunately did not get the news coverage that ought to have been, but still led to a debate about how was the situation at the time of the coup. I can not determine if Pablo Neruda was murdered or not, but thinking about how they shot brutality and given the cruelty opponents of the Pinochet regime would not surprise me that he had killed.

MC .- Finally, what would the Committee if the investigations show that Neruda was killed by medical malpractice or operation of the dictatorship?

TB .- In the event demonstrated the murder would demand an investigation into the circumstances of his death and would demand that the perpetrators are prosecuted in court. It is very important for the people of Chile to know how their national poet died.
